What our customers are saying!

"From the easily distracted, day dreaming little girl I had 2 weeks ago, I now have a super star student!  My little girl is now concentrating at school for most of the day - her teacher cannot believe the transformation.  Last week she received a certificate for 100% improvement in concentration at school and I'm just about to head off to her school assembly where she will receive "Star of the Week" for her class.

Cradle Cap

Cradle cap is the common name for a condition that newborns or young babies develop, which causes redness and scaly patches on the scalp. The baby gets a sort of infant dandruff, which is caused by overactive oil glands on the scalp and face and it sometimes affects the neck, ears and even armpits. Cradle cap isnt serious or catching and it will go away in time.
The specific cause is unknown, but it seems to be related to hormonal changes the baby experiences after birth. The oil glands overproduce for several weeks to months, resulting in the condition. Cradle cap is a natural condition, and once your baby's sebaceous (oil producing) glands settle into a routine, you'll easily get rid of it.

Treatment for Cradle Cap

  • First make a paste using 1/2 tsp Baking Soda and water and massage this to the affected area and leave on while bathing for atleast 5 minutes.
  • Wash out with water and gently use a soft baby brush to rid the area of any loose flakes.
  • Then apply to the affected area Quintessence Cradle Cap Oil
