Anemia

Iron deficiency anemia is a reduction in either the number of red blood cells or the amount of hemoglabin in the blood. Amemia reduces the amount of oxygen available to the cells of the body. As a result, the cells have less energy and when the brain lacks oxygen, dizziness may result and mental faculties are less sharp.

Anemia can be caused by drug use, hormonal disorders, surgery, infections, heavy menstrual bleeding, repeated pregnancies, liver damage and dietary deficiencies esp iron, folic acid and vitamin B6 and B12.

Symptoms include:

  • loss of appetitie
  • constipation
  • headaches
  • irritability
  • fatigue
  • depression
  • pale and brittle nails
It is important to diagnose anemia with a blood test.

Take Quintessence FE MAX or FE Plex to increase iron levels safely during pregnancy.
